This summer, I visited America, the country that I have been longing for and it is my first visit abroad. There, not only have I seen the wonderful scenery, but also I have learnt more about American culture. The most significant is that I experienced a different life from which I benefit a lot.

The first day, I visited New York, the most prosperous city in the USA, also the center of the world business. In New York, I also admired the statue of liberty. Indeed, it is a great miracle and a symbol of faith and liberty, like its name.

Then I came to many famous universities of Ivy League. I was very lucky to have a look at what a top-ranking school looks like, which has a long history. Ancient buildings, green grass, fluttering flags and elegant statues caught my eye immediately, and all of them show the elegant demeanor of the schools. Wandering on the campus, I felt peaceful and had a desire for knowledge, as if something inside of me was unveiled. Now,I have a higher goal to fight for and I know it is worth fighting for.

The next day, I visited Washington, the capital of the USA. There were many remarkable buildings standing for power, polity and freedom, like the Congress building, Obelisk and Lincoln Memorial. I was affected by their solemn atmosphere. At the same time, I felt the honor and dignity of Lincoln, the chain breaker who freed the black slaves and gave them equal rights as the white. On the way to the White House, I saw many adorable squirrels running through the grass, which kept me thinking how good the American environment is so that these cute animals can play in the city among people. Once again I was impressed by the charm of the young-born country.

Next, we headed for Los Angeles to see our host families and experience the American school life. My new dad is Joe who is very kind. It was he that cooked delicious pancakes for us, took us to shopping mall and cinema and spent nights with us playing Poker. He was good at Poker by the way. I still have a vivid recollection of those wonderful days which I will not forget. Here, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the hospitality and accommodation they offered us during my stay in Los Angeles.

Teachers in school were really friendly, who taught us dance with patience, helped me finish the science project and inspired us of more new ideas. No ideas are bad as they said. They are looking for and respect every students' creativity. Of course, different countries have different styles of education. To all those teachers, I wanna say Thank you.

From this amazing experience, I have got a lot and felt I have grown up. I have reset my dream to pursue. I have broadened my horizon. I am ready to make the world a better place.

The stage is set. And now, the curtain rises.
